PSHE & RSE Consultation
From the Summer Term 2021 (April), it is a statutory requirement that all schools in England and Wales are teaching Relationship and Sex Education (RSE) as a fundamental part of the curriculum. This will be taught through our PSHE lessons, which will include Relationship and Sex Education, and also as part of our Science Curriculum.
As part of implementing the RSE curriculum, schools must consult with the children, parents, staff and governors to ensure there is a general consensus on our approaches to policy and the curriculum content.
St Lawrence will be starting their consultation process on Friday 20th November 2020; the consultation will close on Friday 4th December 2020.
As part of this, parents, staff and governors, will be asked to read through the following documents and make comments on them. A hard copy of the parent consultation questionnaire was sent home last week and the documents we would like you to read have also been sent to all parents via Parentmail. These documents can also be found by clicking on the following links:

In order to provide your feedback to this consultation, we would appreciate your completion of the questionnaire. Please return to the school via your child’s class teacher by Friday 4th December.
